The custody of Christian Flaesch, which began Monday, September 26, was lifted Tuesday night. The former head of the Judicial Police (PJ) Paris was heard by the General Inspection of Police National (IGPN) as part of a judicial investigation for influence peddling, among others.
Bernard Squarcini still in custody
Meanwhile, the former head of domestic intelligence Bernard Squarcini was about to pass a second night in custody in the premises of the General Inspectorate of the National Police.
This is notably suspected of having asked in 2013 to Mr. Flaesch, then head of the Paris PJ, elements on a survey conducted by the prosecutor of Paris after a complaint from Hermes accusing LVMH of having operated in secret for up to its capital.
